Overview of Therapy Costs

This Good Faith Estimate outlines expected expenses for psychotherapy within a 12-month period. Therapy needs vary, but a typical range is 10 to 40 weekly sessions, depending on goals and support required.

  • Standard Fee: $300 per 45-minute individual session

  • Sliding Scale Options: A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available—ranging from $150 to $225 per session, based on individual financial needs and availability.

Out-of-Network Services & Reimbursement

I do not participate in any insurance networks. This allows for personalized, culturally responsive care with greater confidentiality and flexibility.

How to get reimbursed:

  • I provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

  • I partner with Thrizer to streamline this process. That means you typically pay only your co-insurance at the time of service, without the stress of managing claims yourself.

Additional Information & Your Rights

  • This estimate is not a contract, and you are never obligated to receive services.

  • If your final bill exceeds this estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to initiate a dispute under federal law. You can review or adjust charges with me directly, or contact HHS or the CMS “No Surprises” portal. There is a $25 fee for using the formal dispute process.

  • I encourage you to reach out if you’d like to discuss this estimate, sliding scale eligibility, or support accessing Thrizer.

Why This Matters

Being out-of-network allows me to provide therapy informed by your values and cultural identity, without insurance mandates or limitations. I believe in enabling access through sliding scale options and simplifying logistics so you can focus on what matters—your healing and growth.
